Episode 7 Announcement: The Ardlamont Murder: A hunting accident, or Murder?

We have recorded episode 7.

In this episode’s case we’ll be popping on our Sunday best, jumping in the time machine and heading off to the remote location of Adrlamont House, a Georgian country house, located in an isolated peninsula in Argyll. There, we see three young chaps having a jolly time slaughtering the local rabbit population.  But, wait, it seems there’s only two of them when they come back to the house.  There’s been a terrible accident, young master Cecil has shot himself in the head! It’s surely a horrible accident, right?  Nothing to do with the previous day’s boating accident, or the shady past of the young master’s tutor? It’s Elementary, my dear listener!

After the horrific World’s End case, I’ve decided to take us back to late Victorian times, and only one death this episode!

Cecil, the victim

Release date: 5th January 2025.

Hi Melanie and Cedric,
Must say I was disappointed when I heard at the end of the 100th episode of Crime Most French that Cedric was taking a break, but understand the epic amount of work involved in getting an episode ready every fortnight for us to greedily consume!
However, there was joy to find that Melanie has taken up the mantle and decided to work on Crime Most Scots. As a francophile I was delighted to still hear Cedric’s accent, and your quirky way of story telling is still there. I introduced my ‘scotophile’ friend (who is learning Scottish Gaelic) to the new podcast, plus my sister who lived in Edinburgh in the early 70’s so you might have some new followers.
Keep up the great work and I will look forward to the next episode 🙂
Debbi
